Most of the time when I shoot scenics, I'm lucky to get one passable image. On really special days, I might get two. Sessions when I get three distinct keepers are definitely memorable. This particular day with Delicate Arch will be memorable.

Between the subject, the clouds, the light, and the almost lack of crowds will make this particular shooting session very memorable. In this case, I have at least two, maybe even three "Best of 2015" worthy images. I almost couldn't have taken a bad image that whole evening.

The neat thing about this particular image is it's all one exposure value. It's three images shot in a pano that I merged together digitally. I didn't combine different exposures to get the final product. My camera's sensor was more than adequate to capture what you see here. All I had to do was adjust the tone values to realize what I "saw" when I pushed the shutter button.

It's very special times like this that makes me think about my day job. If my day job wasn't so awesome, I'd probably be pointing towards something involving more nature photography.
