Mobious Arch at Sunset - Alabama Hills, California
Just now I'm working the Eastern Sierra Mtn's on a very short weekend photography trip. I'm working out of the little town of Lone Pine which calls itself the Gateway to Mt Whitney. Just over the hill from Lone Pine are the Alabama Hills. In these amazing rock formations is the Mobious Arch which I've photographed many times before.
The last time I was out here was over eight years ago. I have no idea why I haven't even visited the area since moving back to the Antelope Vally just under a year ago. In fact, one of my most favorite Eastern Sierra images was shot the last time I was here.

Coming here this time is a bit of a reunion for me. I'm getting reacquainted with the area. And, I'm learning by shooting in a different way.
I had good results last night. I did mostly night photography with my new lens. I'll post those results in the next few days. Still, I have much to do to get back to the proficiency level I had when I shot landscapes almost every weekend. I hope to. That's the aim. I'm planning to get out at least once a month to do some sort of shooting. This is the first of those trips.
Stay posted for more.
Oh, the picture was shot with my phone a while prior to sunset.
Cheers
