Layson Albatross Mating Dance - Midway Island, North Pacific

You already know by now Midway has lots and lots of albatross everywhere. Not only that, you can easily accidentally collide into them if you're walking down the street and fail to watch where you're going. Most of them aren't in the middle of the street staking out their claim. But, some are. And those that aren't, being just barely off the side of the road seems "good enough".

This pair were right there on the side of the road (notice the road surface at their feet). No worries about traffic here. I was the only traffic and I was using my own two feet. So, this friendly couple could care less that I was only six feet away documenting their carefully choreographed dance. I'm sure someone can figure out the tune their dancing to.
